Aeration/Overseeding

Aeration

Compacted soil results in a less vigorous lawn. Core Aeration is the process of removing core plugs to stimulate deep roots, increase air in the soil, and improve water and nutrient penetration, along with breaking down thatch.

In heavy clay soils (such as that in our area), or in areas exposed to heavy traffic, aeration should be done more frequently than just annually.

Overseeding

Maintaining a healthy, dense, lawn requires proper nutrition through fertilizing. Routine watering is essential if there is inadequate rainfall.

Fescue is green year round, over seeding needs to occur yearly in the Fall (September/October). Core Aeration is recommended annually in keeping or establishing new turf.
